It's the law...Truth in Taxation
Minnesota's Truth in Taxation Law requires school districts, cities and counties to provide a "Truth in Taxation" public hearing before adopting a tax levy for the following year. This hearing is normally held in late November or early December. This hearing includes a presentation about the current budget and proposed tax levies.
The Carlton Independent School Board met in regular session and held the TRUTH IN TAXATION hearing on December 18, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carlton High School Media Center.
In the same resolution the Board certified the proposed 2023 Payable 2024 Levy.
